Technological Development

Effect of Technological industries:

It’s no news that the effect of Technological industries has taken a chunk of the world’s space and economy.

Virtually, the world has shifted to technology for solutions to World problems even since time immemorial from the likes of the great Albert Einstein and his notable inventions.

In reaching these milestones to date, it is statistically proven that there has been gender marginalization in the technology sector. Gender marginalization creating a gender breach in performance and taking up technological roles in the society or offices, limiting the other gender chances of creativity and productivity.

Case study:

A case study for the project “ShecanTech” which is an educational platform showed the limitations in creativity by Women in the industry. There has been few or less recruitment of women in the technology space and even more, less informative approach and orientation to the space. It is proven that women when given the chance to be creative, put in great works as these are not physically strenuous roles. Mentally, they are beautiful, constructive, aligned and calculating when it comes to technological tasks.

The need to educate, mobilize, equip, sponsor and motivate women to add to the everyday-growing technological workforce in roles such as Data analysis, Product design, Graphic design, Web development, Cyber security and more.

Investments from organizations and NGOs could go a long way in improving the technology space for continuous training and recruitment. Events like Hackathon where talented young women compete for scholarships and grants are held to boost the industry with fresh hands and mind.

Tech is the now and the future which will in no time be the leading sector globally and there’s urgency for all hands to be on deck in productivity and creativity by talented Men and Women.
